MPowerGirls Camp Founders
Who We Are
Founded in 2023 by Pam Lemoine and Therese Tetzel, MPower Girls Camp is a dream come to fruition after many months of research, planning, and developing a path to success. Our goal is to send underserved girls in the 4th grade to STEM summer camp. We know that this experience can change a young girl's life. The core of our work lies in the continuous support of area public schools and their administrators and teachers. Without these partnerships, our dream could not come true. We hope you will join us in giving young girls the opportunity to explore, learn and grow by volunteering, donating needed camp supplies, or monetary donations for the sponsorships we will offer.
Mission
Our mission is to reduce barriers to an enriching educational outdoor STEM summer camp experience for young girls with high potential, in families without resources, by providing camp sponsorships.
Vision
To allow 9-to 11-year-old girls with high potential and without other opportunities, the ability to see new visions for their future, connecting with girls from different backgrounds and economic situations through fun outdoor and thought-provoking activities, growing in self-awareness, self-esteem, and feelings of self-worth through a summer camp experience.
